Nutty Caramel Protein Balls

Hi Ladies

If you've been in recently you will know I'm in the process of removing highly processed foods from Ella's diet.

She had severe tummy pains and nearly a month off school so I'm getting serious.

Bliss balls are a great way to get protein into our day and together with Miss Fussy Pants we have come up with a delicious protein caramel ball that you will love!!

I will be offering them in salon for you to taste which will motivate you to make your own.

They are so simple anyone can do it!

You can always save time by making it as a slice instead of rolling into balls... Miss Fuss likes balls so I'll stick with that.

Ingredients:

4 cups *Activated Nuts 8 Medjool Dates 2 tbs Tahini 2 tbsp Honey 2 tsp melted Coconut Oil 1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt 1/2 cup Desiccated Coconut Extra Coconut for rolling balls in

*Found in bulk bin at New World: Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans & Hazelnuts :)

Method:

blend nuts in batches.

Mix all ingredients until they form a thick paste.

Pour some desiccated coconut onto a plate.

Get a tupperware container ready and line it with baking paper.

Get comfy and start rolling.

Roll each ball in coconut and pop into your container.

Store in fridge or freezer.

Homework: Have a look at the ingredient list of the pre-made bliss balls. The first ingredient is dates or cashews... dates are great, but by making nuts the main ingredient we amp up the protein which is full of important amino acids for beautiful skin.

Cashews are o.k now an then but they can congest and irritate your skin.

I have plenty of recipes so I'll keep them coming.

Pamper you soon xxxx
