How you nurture or neglect your gut will show up on your skin.

 

The gut absorbs nutrients from food and excretes chemicals and waste......perfect.

 

But neglect the intestine and you have a problem.

 

5 Ways we Neglect our Guts:

 

Dehydration

If there is not enough water in your gut, the faecal matter gets stuck.

 

Fad Diets

Cutting out fat will dry out intestinal wall causing..............faecal mater to get stuck.

 

Caffeine

Coffee will firstly act as a laxative, forcefully removing faecal matter AND water, causing dehydration which will cause...........faecal matter to get stuck.

 

Un-soaked Chia Seeds

Chia seeds absorb many times their weight in water. So if you consume them dry, they will absorb the water from your intestine, dehydrating it which will cause..........faecal matter to get stuck.

 

Diet

A diet high in processed foods and low in plant based food will put strain on the intestine, as it needs to work hard to excrete the waste, but also the lack of fibre and water from fruits and veggies will cause dehydration which will cause..........faecal matter to get stuck.

 

What Happens when faecal matter gets stuck?

 

Inflammation of the skin which shows up as eczema, dermatitis and rosacea.

 

Congestion of the skin which shows up as milia, blackheads and pimples.

 

Waste build up which shows up as fluid retention and cellulite.

 

 5 Ways to Nuture Your Gut

 

Hydration, Hydration, Hydration

Provide your gut with plenty of water from fluids and plant based foods, plus organic vegetable juices.

 

Good Fats

Provide a slippery slope for faecal matter to exit smoothly ;-)

 

Watch that caffeine!

Coffee and wine is my biggest struggle with clients. I have gotten most of you down to one coffee a day which is fabulous. Keep it to one a day and make sure you drink 2 glasses of water per coffee.

 

Fiber

It's easy to get plenty of fibre. I include green leaves in my smoothies, a side salad with lunch and vegetables with dinner. Apples and kiwi fruit for snacks and I'm set.

Kefir!

Love this product. It will provide you with millions of living bacteria ready to calm and strengthen your gut. If your gut is calm and happy it will function happy.
